Our Wedding

Back in 2022 I was a last minute sub for Alex's volleyball team. We didn't have a lot of time to talk that day, but his jokes landed and he was pretty good at volleyball. He was the face I started looking for. I ran into him again a week later at the same courts. That day, as we were leaving, he got my number.I’ll never forget his first text, “Alex Daresh”. I remember not knowing how to pronounce his last name. We got coffee three days later at my favorite place (Lazarus Brewery). We talked about our time in Austin, what weather apps we use, and how much I hated baseball. It was my favorite day. After a few days of texting, he invited me to play in a 2s volleyball tournament. After finishing second, while everyone was packing up around us, we sat on the bleachers and talked. We talked until the park was empty and the lights had turned off. I was so impressed with this intelligent, hilarious man, who not an hour earlier I had watched put chewed gum straight into his shorts pocket. At 3 am, when we finally decided to leave, he kissed me for the first time. As I was starting my car, he called me and asked if he could see me again. we planned our first date and I think we saw each other every day after that. To the finder of my cell phone, our daughter’s second favorite person, and the dishwasher-loading-manager, I can't wait to marry you.

Dani:

When I first met Daniella, I instantly wanted to know more. We started off by getting to know eachother while playing beach volleyball, something that we both love. It wasnt long until we had deeper conversations that lasted until sometimes 3-4am covering everything from favorite local meteorologists to unknown mysteries of the universe….the answer is Jim Spencer by the way, the guy knows weather. Our late night conversations dont last as long anymore but every day I am reminded of how lucky I am to have the privilege of marrying such a kind, intelligent and beautiful woman. PS, I know she wrote the thing about putting gum in my pocket. Dont do it, it absolutely ruins your pants.

THE BRIDE'S SIDE:

Summer is an entrepreneur, a four time mother, wife, crafting genius and probably the best athlete in the Norman family (which is high praise.) she is Daniella's sister and best friend. 

Summer

Emily is a nurse, three time mother, wife, and role model of the bride. She married Daniella’s brother Aaron in 2008, and has been one of her favorite people ever since.

Emily 

MJ is a food scientist, pastry master, and partner of Daniella's brother Chris. She travels extensively, lived (and studied) in Paris for a time. To summarize; she is a badass. 

Alli is a nurse, a wife, a three time mother, and the only sister of the groom. Alli's guidance and example (Aside from Mary's) is the prominent reason Alex turned out to be so perfect.

Allison

Kenna is Daniella's youngest sister (by marriage or whatever, still counts). She is a business owner, two time mother, wife and an all around amazing person.

Reagan is a celebrated musician, a mother of two, a wife, and 10+ year friend to Daniella. They met in college, moved to Austin, and were roommates for five years (two years short of common law marriage).

Amanda is a corporate baddie, an athlete, a wife, a mother to one, and a professional traveler. Daniella and Amanda met in Austin 8+ years ago, bonding over their love for OCR races and dogs.

Rachel is a real estate mogul, a business owner, and the most recognized person on south congress. Rachel and Daniella met 7+ years ago in a parking lot and it's been random adventures ever since.

Kelly is a fashion icon, a retail professional, and Finley's favorite visitor. Kelly and Daniella met four years ago at  beer Olympic where Daniella made Kelly chug a four loco. They've been chasing that high ever since.

THE GROOM'S SIDE (Dani's version until Alex updates it):

Ethan and Alex went to high school together and have been BFFFFs ever since.

Cody and Alex met in college! They recognized each other playing pick-up basketball and Cody got those digits.

Dalton and Alex also met in high school! He is also apart of the BFFFF club.

For the life of me, I can't remember how Alex and Chase met. College? Chase is the remote team captain for each Texas Water Safari Alex participates in.

Jacob and Alex met playing kick-ball in Austin and became roommates shortly after. Jacob is also Alex's volleyball partner, business partner, and long term real estate agent.  (Feel free to ask Jacob about the Austin market at the wedding).

Zach is amazing! I think he met Alex in College? he stopped me from drinking a cup of Baileys egg nog at his wedding (When I was pregnant, I thought it was a milkshake). SO he  basically saved our baby.
